The Misc page of the Node Panel contains these nodes:
The Group node makes a group from all the nodes linked to its input. You can then hide and redisplay these nodes and their XSheet columns by double clicking on the node. See The Group node.
The Null node merely composites its inputs, and outputs them without changing them. See The Null node.
The OnOff node is a switch that sets whether or not images appear at its output. See Switching images on and off.
The Order node changes the order in which its inputs are composited. See Changing the order of images.
The Transmit node sets the start of one or more hidden links. These connect one part of your Scene Graph to another without the link showing. You can hence avoid long links obscuring the nodes that lie beneath them.
The node itself simply composites its inputs, and outputs them unaltered - like the Null and Group nodes. See The Transmit and Receive nodes.
The Receive node has no input channel. Instead, you 'tune' it to a single Transmit node. The Receive node then outputs exactly the same image as the chosen Transmit node - just as if a link connects the two nodes.
